Other motorcycle safety organizations
- Local Motorcycle Rider Education Division and MSF
High Country Chapter Colorado #422 has had a very long relationship with the
people of a local Motorcycle Rider Education Division. This local Motorcycle Rider Education Division, Colorado's leader in Motorcycle Training since 1990,
has a long history of motorcycle safety and motorcycle rider education
courses. The beginning rider education course is an 18 hour course is
designed with the new rider in mind. They begin with the most basic
information on motorcycle controls and operation and continue to include
modules on street strategies, obstacle avoidance, and braking skills.
They provide motorcycles for this course and administer the test for
your Colorado motorcycle license at the end of the class. The schedule
for this courses can be found by doing a google search on "Colorado Motorcycle Rider Education".
In addition to the beginning rider education class, this same local Colorado Motorcycle Rider Education Division,
also teaches an experienced rider course: This 8 hour course is designed
for the rider with a year or more road experience and is conducted on
your own motorcycle. Completion of the basic course is not required.
The course is designed to help the experienced rider improve riding
skills and increase riding enjoyment by developing the mental and physical
skills found lacking in the accident involved rider. A valid motorcycle
license is required for enrollment. Please google "Colorado Motorcycle Experienced Rider Course" for
more information.
MSF- The Motorcycle
Safety Foundation is a national organization who's goal is promote
motorcycle safety. Again, MSF can have a political agenda at times,
but are a leader in motorcycle safety.
