2008 Chapter Holiday Party

The 2007 Holiday Party this year was held at Casa Alvarez with a Fajita Buffet. If we can have the Party in January, why not shake up the menu a bit as well?

Everyone had a great time with the Yankee Gift Exchange, there was a couple of prize gifts that were repeatedly taken away, and a gift or two that no one could trade for anything. Look at that orange Bronco hat, or ask Gary about his new jewelry. These items might end up in the gift exchange next year. Doug couldn't keep a gift, everything he selected someone else wanted.

For those of you not familiar with this type of gift exchange, for everyone that brings a gift to exchange you draw a random number to determine your turn at selecting a gift. The gift can either be one of the pretty wrapped ones on the table or one that someone else has already selected. You hope that you get a high number so you can see what everyone else has, and if they have something you want you take it and then they get to open a gift or take someone else's gift. Lots of fun in this format for regifting that present you just rec'd for Christmas.

A set of new tires were awarded to the High Mileage winners for the most miles for a man and the most miles for a woman. This years winners were Robin Masek and Yvette Wellborn. Karen won a gift card for the most mileage for pillion.

Lee was presented with a 5 minute sand glass timer from the chapter as a reminded to not run over on his meetings, and Teri was presented with a gavel. Both were very much appreciated.
