2007 Chapter ride the the Veteran's Day Parade

Thanks to the efforts of our very own, Carl Gruesner, we were “legally” established as a participant in the Longmont Veterans Day Parade, held Saturday, November 10th. Carl also managed to get the Starbucks on 119th (by Lowes) to provide some excellent coffee for all the riders, guests and anyone that wandered by our staging area. The weather cooperated, the parade officials were extremely welcoming and helpful, and we had upwards of (in some estimates) 60 bikes for the parade, by far the largest attendance ever. Karl Wiedenhoff was gracious enough (and clever enough) to put a flag pole together to allow us to fly the Chapter flag and, of course, in addition to the plethora of American Flags, there were flags throughout the ride formation honoring every branch of service.

With the fly-over’s, warm weather, great people, and great coffee, we were given the chance to show our support for the Veterans, past and present.

If you missed it, we’ll do it again next year.....
